An emerging leader in Southern California, the San Gabriel Valley boasts assets that rival other regions, including its diverse foreign direct investment, burgeoning healthcare industry, and vibrant educational sectors. Thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, tax incentives have been created in several San Gabriel Valley cities, allowing investors to re-invest their unrealized capital gains into dedicated Opportunity Funds.
The San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership is joining forces with Cal Poly Pomona, Fairplex, and the Pomona Community Foundation to bring together investors, legal experts, and government representatives to discuss the Opportunity Zones: how they work, how best to utilize them, and challenges to the program posed by State tax laws.
The event will include an Opportunity Zone Marketplace highlighting the cities of Pomona, South El Monte, Ontario, and Azusa.
We will hear from experts in the field and government representatives before engaging in a morning "Marketplace Mingle" with cities and properties that qualify for Opportunity Zone funds.
